Collected 5g spit out rat pieces, did not appear to be regurge or processed at all, likely just spit up after difficult HF last night. Weighed. Measured IOPs - IOPs slightly different on recorded TonoVet Pro dog setting but equal on all others collected for study. Very visual in hand. Drew blood from R medial metatarsal vein. Removed paper tape from R wing, removed bandages from dorsal and ventral aspects of wing. Not soaked fully through but plenty of exudate absorbed by telfa padding. Sutures are clean with minimal bruising, no dehiscence. Cleaned lightly with dilute chlorhex and recovered with telfa/tega after gently stretching wing - tight, but able to get fair extension. IM pin in place, left covered with original tegaderm. Gave fluids, IM, oral meds. LRS SQ: 58.00 cc (LRS) SQ - L inguinal Enrofloxacin (Baytril): 0.23 cc (100 mg/ml) PO Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole: 0.96 cc (48 mg/ml) PO Meloxicam: 0.38 cc (1.5 mg/ml compounded) PO Tramadol Low Dose(5mg per kg): 0.23 cc (25mg/ml Compounded) PO Pentoxifylline: 0.35 cc (50 mg/ml compounded ) PO Vitamin B Complex: 0.03 cc (100 mg/ml) IM - L of keel A: BAR. Thick buffy coat and slightly elevated TS could be indicative of body's response to yesterday's surgery. Surgery site appears healthy and clean and bird has recovered well. P: Redraw blood in 5D.

Cleaned and closed wounds in patagium on the ventral and dorsal aspects of the R wing, placed IM pin in the R radial fracture. Blood appeared watery, muscle pale during procedure. Placed telfa/tegaderm over sutured areas, placed tegaderm over IM pin, placed papertape over wing. Iron Dextran: 0.12 cc (100 mg/ml inj) IM Vitamin B Complex: 0.03 cc (100 mg/ml) IM A: Closed soft tissue wounds over the R patagium. Very large defect - sutures at risk for dehiscence due to high tension and high motion area. Repaired radial fracture with IM pin. Prognosis very guarded. P: Change bandages tomorrow. Monitor IM pin, perform gentle PT daily on wing.

Some redness over eyelids from bugs. Wings: Large R patagial wound. R proximal radius fracture. Legs: NSF Feet: NSF Body: NSF Feather condition: In blood Radiographic findings: R proximal radius fracture, slightly misaligned. Initial treatment: 0.23cc Torb; 0.39cc Meloxicam; 1.16cc TMS A: Baby with large skin tear over R patagium. Scabbing present over ventral aspect of wound that is also over some muscle on R ulna. R radius fracture also present under patagial wound. AD assessed that baby will need surgery as soon as possible to debride patagium wound and potential place radial pin. Baby is alert and vitals are stable enough for surgical repair later today. P: Rx Meloxicam, TMS, fluids. HF BID in camo. Surgery today.
